First off, a great big THANKS to all our gardeners for making the Birch Garden look so beautiful this morning for our big debut! Everyone’s hard work was really on display this morning.
And a HUGE thank you!! to Mike for making our Donation Gardens so spectacular! Without Mike, his gardening expertise, hard work, diligence & commitment we would NEVER be able to produce the kind of food we do for the community. And a gi-normous thanks to Ruth, Linda, Amy, Sean & Ryan for coming out to the garden this morning!
Just a reminder that we’ll have coffee & bagels on hand for anyone brave enough to join us Tuesday, June 21 beginning around 6 am at the garden. Fox 31 News will be on hand shooting a segment for Good Day Colorado and we’d like to have as many gardeners on hand as possible! I know you’re probably tired of hearing about this by now but this is a great opportunity for us to show off the hard work you all have done over the last couple years. Would love to see you out there!
Gardens are starting to look good out there, Birch Gardeners! Just a reminder that our next workday will be this Saturday, June 18 starting at 9 am. We’d like to get as many weeds pulled as possible since the news will be at the garden TUESDAY morning! We’ll also be looking to put in some trellis for the cucumbers & squash.
Hope to see you then!

On Sunday, April 10 join the Birch Garden at the Broomfield Rotary Frank Shorter RACE4 Kids’ Health at the Broomfield County Commons. We’ll have a team running the race as well as a booth and would love for you to join us … or just swing by and say hello! Email us at email@example.com if you’re interested in running or helping at the booth. Or register for the race at active.com.
Just an hour or so of harvesting yielded this amazing bounty yesterday! So far we’ve donated almost 500 pounds of food to the Salvation Army and Silvercrest! If you’ve grown more than you can use and would like to donate the abundance to the garden please let Kierston, Mike or Cindy know. We’ll arrange to pick (or pick up) whatever you can’t use and make sure that it’s included with the other food we donate. Thanks again to all our great gardeners!
Wait there’s more … check out the other Slide Show on the Photo Gallery page of the site!
Thanks to all of our volunteers for their hard work!
