New Year’s News at the Garden

Happy New Year Birch Gardeners!

Believe it or not garden season will be here soon and we’ve just started plans for the 2012 season. We’re hoping for a bit of a facelift at the garden in 2012 and want this to be the best season yet!

To get things started a few  updates from the garden committee.

First off, we’re sad to say goodbye to the garden’s first coordinator and fierce advocate, Kierston Howard. Kierston, Sam and Connor recently moved from Broomfield. A giant THANK YOU to each of them for all of their hard work these last three years. We’ll miss you all!

We’re pleased to welcome Linda Botehlo, who has been gardening with us for two years, to the garden committee. Thank you, Linda for volunteering more time to this great project.

And there’s plenty of work to be done this year as we look to make improvements, increase our community outreach and continue to pursue the garden’s goals. So, please let us know if you’re interesting in providing additional assistance.

Finally, mark your calendars. We will be having our Garden Kick Off meeting on Saturday, February 25. Although time and location are TBD we hope everyone’s able to join us as we get the 2012 season off to a great start!

Hope the new year’s off to a FANTASTIC start for everyone! Drop us a note and let us know how it’s going.
